BMW True North operates the BMWTN smartphone app, which provides the SERVICE.

This page is used to inform users of the BMWTN app regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, the BMWTN smartphone app.

For a better experience while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to the current GPS location of your smartphone. The information that we collect will be used to calculate the distance from your current location to the address of various sponsors when browsing our list of sponsors.

We want to inform you that whenever you use certain functions of the application, we collect information that your smartphone sends to us that is called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your smartphone’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser version, pages of our BMW True North website (http://www.bmwtn.ca) that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other statistics.

We make use of Google’s Map API in order to provide some of the functionality of our Service. As such, Google’s Terms of Service for Maps (https://maps.google.com/help/terms_maps/) as well as Google’s Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) would also be applicable.

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we severely limit the use the your data to the minimal levels needed to provide our application functionality. The information is never stored and is only ever transmitted as GPS coordinates with no other personal or device identification provided aside from what the operation system provides to establish a connection to the service providers mentioned in the previous section. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
