2015 Christmas Toy Drive Cruise
Announcement from Dec 18, 2015On December 13th, BMWTN held our second annual Charity Toy Drive, and it was a huge success with over 350 toys collected for the Toys for Tots program to help children less fortunate this coming holiday season. We want to thank all our club members that took the time to come out, whether it was for the whole event, or just for a brief hello while dropping off some toys, we truly appreciate everyone’s dedication to make this event a success.
We could tell from the conversations being had, and the overall vibe of the day that even though we have only been around for a few years, we are already a strongly knit community that is willing to come together for others. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of this group with all of you. We were totally blown away with all the toys that were collected!!
We also want to thank Restyleit (Andre Wilde Dmitri Restyleit) for hosting the start point of the event, and Pfaff BMW (Laurance Yap, Chris Chua, Barry Kwan) for hosting the end point of our toy drive, and opening their dealership on a Sunday for us.
We also presented Rob Ferguson with a cheque for the $4,500.00 TrueNorthEG raised throughout the season from our club members and sponsors for Olliestrong. And we will continue to be there for Oliver and the Ferguson family for the long run. We look forward to seeing Oliver have his bone marrow transplant and kick this illness in the butt for good. Thank you to Gary Grant from the Toronto Star as well that did an editorial for our event.
Also thanks to Tishan Baldeo for taking photos of the event, and the rest of our BMWTN Staff that helped organize the day. Merry Christmas to everyone, and we look forward to seeing you again the in 2016.
